In memory of the hundredth century of the birth of the Cantabrian director Ataúlfo Argenta, Sony reissues "The Best of Spanish Music" directed by Ataúlfo Argenta, a double disc in special format in which Fernando Argenta, son of the brilliant director, collaborated in the selection from the repertoire. Fernando wrote in the album: "I'm proud to see how the recordings directed by my father are still being edited and received very well by the audience."

Ataúlfo Argenta (1913-1958) was a conductor of international form, with great magnetism, sympathy and simplicity. This double CD, now released again, is fully dedicated to Spanish composers, with Ataúlfo Argenta and leading groups such as the National Orchestra of Spain, the Great Symphony Orchestra, the Concert Society Orchestra, the Madrid Orchestra Symphony, etc.
