The old Madrid design, made new. A tremendous flamenco guitar made by luthier Antonio Torres Dorado, the result of his intensive years of research and dedication to the old Madrid school of guitar makers. This Torres has a great power and projection, a clear and focused tone, a sweet, old-world, punchy, dark crispy Andalusian flamenco sound. This very particular, elegant flamenco timbre, surprised and captivated us from the very first chord. The basses are deep with a somewhat hollow sound that we curiously also hear in the trebles. This enhances the sound qualities in a brilliant way, clearly showing the greatness of this guitar maker. She is extremely playable with a very comfortable neck and great response with beautiful inlay work and mosaic-style purflings around the rosette. A tremendous flamenco guitar and a great value for demanding flamenco players. A hardshell case is included with this guitar. The finish in that nice authentic orange color is top notch.

ANTONIO TORRES DORADO - Flamenco and classical guitar maker, born on March 16, 1967 in Aranjuez (Madrid, Spain), where he resides.

As a cabinetmaker's grandson, being a child, Antonio Torres Dorado loves visiting his grandfather's workshop, the smell of woods, the tools… His life was shaped by his grandfather's craft, spending countless days at the side of his grandfather at an early age to learn working with woods. When Antonio decides to make his first guitar for his son, he becomes fascinated by his love for guitar construction and continues to build flamenco guitars. During these years, Antonio has the honor to meet some great luthiers such as Javier Castaño, luthier of Conde Atocha and José Salinas from whom he learned a lot and gained much inspiration. The work of Antonio Torres is completely based on the qualities of the old Madrid guitar making style. In the construction of his instruments, Antonio aims for a clean and clear sound, comfort in both hands and lightness. Driven by his building expertise, Antonio only uses first grade solid tonewoods, meticulously selected after a natural drying of at least 15 years and a top notch finish which he applies completely himself.
