50% prepayment on Jerónimo Maya flamenco guitar blanca mother of pearl inlays on rosette and bridge...an exclusive flamenco guitar developed by flamenco guitarist Jerónimo Maya, luthier Vassilis Lazarides and La Sonanta. Played by Jerónimo Maya on his class DVD and his latest CD 'Como Soy’. It all started when Jerónimo Maya was at La Sonanta to discuss the filming of his DVD classes. When trying some guitars, Jerónimo was excited about the Lazarides guitars. After playing her for hours, he suggested many improvements. Since the recommendations were so valuable, we shared them with Vassilis and decided to meet each other. Vassilis started to redesigned his flamenco guitar and succeeded, just in time for Jerónimo Maya his DVD and CD recordings, to have this new guitar ready. Since Jeronimo and ourselves were so impressed, and even though we knew Vassilis had only limited capacity to make a few each year, we simply had to offer this rare opportunity to guitarists.

Vassilis integrated the bracing patterns and body parts of a historical Arabic khitar, a new partially flat neck, a modified top and a lower string action. She is exactly as a flamenco guitar should sound. Vassilis succeeded in developing a flamenco guitar that, already in new condition, has the enchanting chitarra sound of an old Esteso. A lightweight flamenco with a top level ergonomic playability, an extremely quick response, a perfect balance between beautiful dark basses and singing trebles, very tasteful inlays and an excellent French polish finish. One of the most beautiful flamenco guitars, an instrument for the most demanding guitarist. Back and sides are made of beautiful old aged cypress and the soundboard is made of premium old aged German spruce with many essential cross silk grain patters. The rosette design is based upon one of the early authentic Torres rosettes. Jerónimo Maya signed the label of this guitar in the top right corner.

The 4th release in the flamenco guitar master series with the lineal descendant of the legend Ramon Montoya, the fabulous flamenco guitarist, Jerónimo Maya.

This could be one of the biggest flamenco productions: 194 pages A4 sheet music, 256 minutes double layer DVD in Spanish and English, over 2 years production time.

In these classes, available in book, DVD and online streaming format, Jerónimo Maya invites us, to learn his Caño Roto flamenco guitar techniques and playing. Jeronimo guides you through his specific techniques of rasgueados, picado, arpeggio, legado, the rare 'el Cantor' and 'Cejilla'. Jeronimo not only demonstrates these techniques separately, but also in practice, by playing 4 complete CD compositions, replayed slowly on a split screen with close ups of the left and right hands and a partial dynamic on-screen compas. The demonstrated Cd compositions are 'Un Cacho de la Luna' (granaína, bulerías), 'Palacio Real' (soleá), 'La Cotorra' (bulerías) and 'A Tropico' (Aire de Samba, bulerías). The accompanying book provides authentic transcriptions, written by Max Herzog in close collaboration with Jeronimo in both standard music notation and tablature....
