In the first part of this volume, available in book, DVD and online streaming format, Paco demonstrates how to deal with posture, finger positioning, thumb support, position of the left and right hand, rasgueado and arpeggio coordinations. In the 2nd part, Paco Fernández invites us to acquire 2 complete compositions 'Sastipén Talí' (alegría) and 'La Fragua de mi Pare Curro' (seguiriya) of his latest CD Sastipén Talí. Paco demonstrates these techniques and compositions in practice and replays them slowly on a split screen with close ups of the left and right hands. The accompanying book, having over 70 pages, provides authentic transcriptions in both standard music notation and tablature. The DVD has over 40 minutes extra live performances of the composities that have been taught in this volume. The extras also include intensive inspiring interviews with Paco, his luthier and his family.
Paco Fernandez was born in 1967 in Triana, in the heart of one of the most prestigious families in the world of flamenco. The legacy of his father, Curro Fernandez, and his mother, Pepa Vargas, versed Paco as well as his brother José and sister Esperanza, in the most pure gypsy style. With one of the most recognized flamenco families, La Familia Fernandez, Paco performed at the best festivals and concerts in Spain, America, Europe, Japan and India.
